Up Close​ is an exhibition featuring works by twelve artists based in the RISD/Providence community. Specifically, the show reflects on the physical proximity between us students and a variety of artists that exist in the RISD/Providence community, and through the inclusion of these artists, we hope to make use of Memorial Hall as a kinder space for contemplation and reflection for all of us. We invite viewers to consider the distance between their professional occupations or responsibilities and their respective artistic devotions by taking a look ​up close​, engaging closely and carefully with the objects and ideas that inform these artists’ work.
